Jack Chapin, founder of Chapin Real Estate, lived and did business in Commerce, Texas, from 1947 until his death in 2007.  He owned and operated a small chain of variety stores then began his real estate business in 1963. Subsequently, he sold the variety stores in order to dedicate himself to the real estate industry on a full-time basis. He was later joined by his son and his son-in-law Terry as the firm grew.
Jack was a fully licensed real estate broker.  He and his wife, Lois, had three children and owned and resided at the Chapin House Bed & Breakfast near Texas A&M University - Commerce.
Jack was a member of the First Baptist Church Commerce and was a member of the Lion's Club for 50 years. |
